So if a new truck costs $50k, you save $15k. But that doesn’t include possible additional savings on upfits or modifications you have made to your vehicle. When you reman, all those stay in place. When you buy new, you are starting from scratch. But ultimately, you are in control of the cost. Every reman bid is comprised of 5 sections: powertrain, mechanical, suspension, exterior, and interior — with many technology upgrades available like backup cameras. The first three (powertrain, suspension and mechanical) are driven more by necessity, but the last two (exterior and interior) are completely up to you. Some customers see the aesthetics as a place they can save, while others want the vehicle to look brand new.
